چکیده

We describe an interaction console for interactive proof exercises using proof planning as back-engine. Based on the proof planning situation, the console offers suggestions for proof steps. These suggestions can dynamically be adapted, e.g. to the user and to pedagogical criteria. This adaptive configuration is possible because the suggestion mechanism and proof planning are clearly separated. Therefore, a configuration can represent pedagogical knowledge which would not be possible by using proof planning alone.

A New Single-Display Intelligent Adaptive Interface for Controlling a Group of UAVs

The increasing use of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) or drones in different civil and military operations has attracted attention of many researchers and science communities. One of the most notable challenges in this field is supervising and controlling a group or a team of UAVs by a single user. Thereupon, we proposed a new intelligent adaptive interface (IAI) to overcome to this challenge. ...

Adaptable Mixed-Initiative Proof Planning for Educational Interaction

Today, most theorem proving systems are either used by their developers or by a (small) group of particularly trained and skilled users. In order to make theorem proving functionalities useful for a larger clientele we have to ask “What does an envisioned group of users need?” For educational purposes a theorem prover can be used in different scenarios and can serve students with different need...

A Blackboard Architecture for Guiding Interactive Proofs

to appear in proceedings of AIMSA-98 c Springer-Verlag 1998 Abstract. The acceptance and usability of current interactive theorem proving environments is, among other things, strongly in uenced by the availability of an intelligent default suggestion mechanism for commands. Such mechanisms support the user by decreasing the necessary interactions during the proof construction. Although many sys...

Designing a Proof GUI for Non-Experts – Evaluation of an Experiment

Often user interfaces of theorem proving systems focus on assisting particularly trained and skilled users, i.e., proof experts. As a result, the systems are difficult to use for non-expert users. This paper describes a paper and pencil experiment, in which (non-expert) students were asked to make suggestions for a GUI for an interactive system for mathematical proofs. They had to explain the u...
